TEXI MIX
- Hybrid air distribution textile duct

Description
The TEXI MIX textile duct is a hybrid air distribution solution developed by F2A.
It provides a fully customized solution when a single air distribution principle cannot meet the project’s requirements.
Suitable for all climatic conditions and operating modes, TEXI MIX can be adapted to a wide range of applications.
Porous air distribution, diffusion slots, or high-induction air distribution may not always be suitable for specific projects. In such cases, combining two air distribution technologies within a single textile duct can be an effective solution, allowing the advantages of each technology to be combined. This approach makes it possible to achieve performance objectives that would otherwise appear incompatible.
The TEXI MIX textile duct is particularly well suited to large public buildings and industrial facilities. It enables high airflow rates to be distributed over short lengths while maintaining excellent occupant comfort and avoiding draughts.

Operating guidelines
Effective upstream filtration
Regardless of the cleaning frequency, filtration is essential. A minimum upstream filtration efficiency of ISO ePM1 ≥ 50% is recommended to limit textile duct fouling and preserve long-term air distribution performance. In environments with high particle concentrations, ISO ePM1 ≥ 80% filtration is recommended.
Progressive duct pressurization during system start-up
Textile ducts are sensitive to pressure surges caused by abrupt fan start-up. The use of a frequency inverter on the fan motor supply, or a motorized damper with progressive opening and spring return (see our LTI damper range), is recommended to ensure smooth duct pressurization.
Regular textile duct maintenance
Cleaning intervals should be established according to the level of duct contamination (upstream filtration efficiency, return air pollution level, etc.). As a minimum guideline:
- Once per year for polyester textile ducts
- Once every three years for textile ducts manufactured from technical fabrics
- More frequently in highly polluted environments
Refer to our maintenance and cleaning instructions for further information.
