Description

The TEXI PULSE textile duct has been designed for industrial applications and HVAC ductwork systems requiring precise airflow control and homogeneous fresh air distribution for ventilation, air conditioning, and air handling systems.

This air distribution textile duct delivers medium-velocity air distribution between 4 and 10 m/s through diffusion slots specifically sized according to the aerodynamic characteristics of each project. This design provides controlled throw distances while ensuring excellent air distribution uniformity in industrial buildings and technical rooms.

Based on the principle of mixed air distribution, the TEXI PULSE textile duct promotes uniform airflow throughout the space and effectively reduces thermal stratification. This textile air distribution technology helps improve occupant thermal comfort, maintain uniform temperatures, and optimize air distribution quality within HVAC installations.

Depending on the installation layout and building architecture, the Coanda effect can also be utilized to improve air jet stability, increase throw distances, and enhance environmental uniformity in sensitive areas and demanding industrial environments.

Thanks to its custom-designed diffusion slots, the TEXI PULSE textile duct delivers high airflow rates per linear metre while maintaining excellent control of air velocities within occupied zones. This technology ensures homogeneous fresh air distribution throughout the space while providing a stable and comfortable indoor environment.

The TEXI PULSE textile duct helps to:

  • Ensure homogeneous fresh air distribution
  • Provide precise airflow control
  • Reduce thermal stratification
  • Optimize air throw distances in industrial buildings
  • Improve temperature uniformity throughout the space
  • Stabilize air jets through the Coanda effect
  • Enhance occupant thermal comfort
  • Improve HVAC system energy performance
  • Deliver efficient air distribution for heating, cooling, and industrial ventilation

The TEXI PULSE textile duct is particularly well suited to industrial applications requiring high airflow rates and excellent airflow control in medium-height buildings, including:

  • Draining and ripening rooms in the food processing industry
  • Food processing and packaging areas
  • Industrial storage facilities and warehouses
  • Production workshops and industrial buildings
  • Automotive and mechanical industries
  • Aerospace industry
  • Electronics industry
  • Surface treatment applications

This textile duct air distribution solution improves the efficiency of heating and air conditioning systems in industrial workshops and process areas.

Operating guidelines

Effective upstream filtration

Regardless of the cleaning frequency, filtration is essential. A minimum upstream filtration efficiency of ISO ePM1 ≥ 50% is recommended to limit textile duct fouling and preserve long-term air distribution performance. In environments with high particle concentrations, ISO ePM1 ≥ 80% filtration is recommended.

Progressive duct pressurization during system start-up

Textile ducts are sensitive to pressure surges caused by abrupt fan start-up. The use of a frequency inverter on the fan motor supply, or a motorized damper with progressive opening and spring return (see our LTI damper range), is recommended to ensure smooth duct pressurization.

Regular textile duct maintenance

Cleaning intervals should be established according to the level of duct contamination (upstream filtration efficiency, return air pollution level, etc.). As a minimum guideline:

  • Once per year for polyester textile ducts
  • Once every three years for textile ducts manufactured from technical fabrics
  • More frequently in highly polluted environments

Refer to our maintenance and cleaning instructions for further information.
