RRPS / RRPS-I

Characteristics

The RRPS is a self-regulating constant pressure damper designed for rectangular duct connections. It is supplied complete with an integrated pressure controller that maintains a constant air pressure within the ductwork at the beginning of a branch network.

Air renewal is controlled by a pressure setpoint managed by the integrated controller. When downstream pressure varies according to occupancy levels, the damper automatically adjusts its blade position to maintain the required pressure setpoint.

The airflow measuring cross remains permanently installed, allowing real-time airflow measurement. This information can be transmitted to a Building Management System (BMS) or used to control other dampers within the system, such as extract air dampers.

The RRPS controller is also available in an insulated version, the RRPS-I, featuring 25 mm thermal insulation.

RRPS and RRPS-I dampers are ideally suited for fresh air management in multi-storey commercial buildings and complex air distribution networks. Fully adjustable and available with a wide range of options (special coatings, insulation, etc.), they provide a flexible solution for demanding HVAC applications.

Construction

• Casing and blades: galvanized steel

• Gear-driven or linkage-operated blade system (depending on size)

• Aluminium airflow measuring cross

• EPDM seals

• Integrated PEL pressure controller
(PEL-MOD with Modbus communication available as an option)

• Actuator mounted on 8 × 8 mm square shaft:
o Standard Belimo actuator: 0…10 V control – LMV D3 MF
o Belimo actuator with MODBUS RTU or BACnet MS/TP communication available as an option
o MP-Bus and KNX available upon request

• Leakage class 3 according to EN 1751

• Casing leakage class C according to EN 1751 – ATC 3

• Airflow range: 108 to 18,000 m³/h

• Operating temperature: -20°C to +80°C

Options:

• 25 mm mineral wool insulation with steel cladding

• ZTH handheld tool for on-site adjustment of the control range

• BOI0021 handheld tool for pressure setpoint adjustment

• Additional Belimo communication protocols available:
MP-Bus, MODBUS RTU, BACnet MS/TP, KNX
