Description

The MCE airtight circular flexible sleeve is designed to ensure the continuity of airtightness in circular ductwork systems for ventilation, air conditioning, and air handling applications.

The airtightness of ventilation systems is now a key factor in the energy performance of buildings. Air leakage at flexible sleeves can lead to significant energy losses, increased energy consumption, reduced system performance and poorer indoor air quality.

The French Technical Centre for Air Handling and Thermal Industries (CETIAT) has identified flexible sleeves as one of the main potential sources of air leakage in HVAC ductwork.

Developed to address these challenges, the MCE airtight circular flexible sleeve maintains airtight continuity between equipment and ductwork while significantly reducing air leakage at connection points.

Thanks to its integrated EPDM lip seal and optimized design, the MCE achieves Class C airtightness in accordance with EN 15727, providing leakage levels up to nine times lower than those of a Class A flexible sleeve.

This airtight flexible sleeve provides a reliable solution for reducing air leakage, improving the energy performance of HVAC systems and meeting the requirements of RT 2012 and RE2020, while supporting energy efficiency and building decarbonization objectives.

In addition to its airtightness performance, the MCE helps reduce vibration transmission between equipment and ductwork while contributing to the attenuation of noise generated by ventilation and air handling systems.
