After the metro line B in which F2A took part (Metro of Rennes), the construction of the new teaching hospital will be undoubtedly the biggest building site of these past years in Rennes.
Dating from the 1970s, the teaching hospital of Pontchaillou chosen as a site to accommodate all the medical specialities (today spread on 10 places), had become a complicated mosaic.
Thus, the reconstruction of the new teaching hospital is planned in 3 phases, the first of which will be completed in early 2024.
This first step is about the construction of an ultra-modern and ultra-functional Surgical and Interventional Center including 55 operating rooms for conventional and interventional surgery.
Directly linked to the existing and future buildings of the new Rennes University Hospital, the center will gather on 6 floors all the technical functions shared on a single site, making it a true “technical heart”.
The construction of the hospital and its technical platform is a major component of the current Pontchaillou site and will become the single site of the Rennes University Hospital by 2024.
Requirements
To have a partner able to supply and produce a wide range of high-performance products for future “standard” ventilation ductworks (consulting rooms, medical offices, etc.) as well as for sensitive non-public areas (operating rooms, obstetrics, etc.)
Indeed, a hospital is subject to important constraints of hygiene and comfort of the patients and the nursing staff, in particular with regard to air quality.This last point is a major factor in the choice of acoustic and aeraulic equipment to be installed because they must not degrade the required needs.
F2A solution
As part of its customers ventilation package, F2A manufactured and supplied rectangular and circular high-performance splitters and commercial buildings dampers.
SONIE BS+ splitters for standard ductworks and SONIE BL splitters for sensitive rooms, all coated with anti-defibration glass fabric. This protection ensures that the rate of particles coming off the baffle is almost zero.
Our circular and rectangular dampers dedicated to commercial buildings as well as our range of backdraught dampers. Not to mention our range of variable air volume dampers controlled by CO² sensors for perfect control of the hygienic fresh air flow according to the carbon dioxide rate and the occupancy required in a hospital.
