Carcassonne’s hospital has nearly 800 beds and is one of the most efficient medical establishments of the Languedoc-Roussillon region regarding reactivity and advanced technological equipments. It includes departments such as radiotherapy, nuclear medicine, reeducation centers. The provided services are crucial for the region and its permanent functioning is compulsory.
To that end and to mitigate any possible electrical failures or public powergrid breakdowns, the hospital installed 3 generators providing a total power of 2 120 kw.
These generators produce pollutants when they are working and must be ventilated to make their evacuation easier. A hospital is a public room and must answer hygiene and ventilation constraints.
Requirements
- When a generator is working, the premises sheltering it must be shut and ventilated
- Acoustic constraint: when a generator is turned on, it generates noise emergences that exceed the levels set by the noise on the workplace and neighborhood regulations. Acoustic measures must then be taken.
- Large air intake and air exhaust sections
